Gard appeals ruling in compensation case against tanker carrier

Norwegian marine insurance company Gard has now appealed the ruling in a compensation case that orders the company to pay around USD 22.8 million to a tanker carrier, writes Finansavisen.

Gard has appealed the ruling in a compensation case ordering the Norwegian marine insurance company to pay around NOK 190 million (USD 22.8 million) to tanker carrier Champion Shipping.

"I can confirm that we have appealed the ruling," says CEO Svein Buvik to Norwegian business media Finansavisen.
