Wärtsilä's orderbook grows in first half of the year

Finnish supplier Wärtsilä grew its orderbook in the first half of the year, but this was not enough to pull up the results in an "uncertain" market.

Wärtsilä is cautiously optimistic after the first half of the year, which saw orders go up in a continually difficult market.

The Finnish supplier of engines and scrubbers for marine vessels, among other things, landed orders for a total of EUR 2.3 billion (USD 2.7 billion) in the first six months of the year, up from 2.2 billion in the same period last year.
