Chief legal officer warned Dan-Bunkering against sale of jet fuel to Russian customer

The first examination in the Dan-Bunkering case unveiled a deep divide between Bunker Holding's chief legal officer and Dan-Bunkering regarding Russian customer Sovfracht, which supplied jet fuel to the Russian military. The discord started in September 2016 when Sovfracht was added to the US sanctions list.

The inclusion of Russian Sovfracht, long-time customer of Dan-Bunkering, on the US sanctions list in 2016 led to an intense internal email exchange between the management at Bunker Holding and Dan-Bunkering.

There was a deep divide among them concerning the handling of a new setup for the sanctions-hit Russian customer.
