Bladt, Semco win major US orders

The two suppliers are to provide three substations to Dominion Energy's offshore wind farm in Virginia, with Bladt announcing the largest order in company history.

Semco Maritime and Bladt Industries can celebrate that things are proceeding for US company Dominion Energy's Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project, set to have a capacity of 2.6GW.

Dominion has just filed an application to install 27 kilometers of transmission lines and accompanying infrastructure on land tied to the offshore wind project set for establishment off the coast of Virginia. The company has previously estimated that the project represents investments of more than USD 9.8 billion, a sum also covering Semco and Bladt.
