UK government bans insurance of ships carrying Russian oil
The UK will contribute to the international embargo on Russian oil by, for instance, banning British companies from insuring oil cargoes to third countries if these do not comply with an upcoming price cap.

The British government will prevent the country’s insurance and shipping companies from partaking in transporting Russian crude oil at sea – unless the oil is traded at prices matching a future price cap.
