Gertsen & Olufsen appoints new management

Helle Bjerre, formerly of Nordic Tankers and Maersk, has been appointed new CEO of marine supplier Gertsen & Olufsen, while EAC's CEO Niels Henrik Jensen will become new Chairman of the company.

Private equity fund Erhvervsinvest will expand its activities in Asia through its majority stake in marine-tech company Gertsen & Olufsen. The first stage in the process is the acquisition of Vordingborg-based Danish company Atlas Incinerators, a move that provides Gertsen & Olufsen with new products and two new factories in Asia, according to Børsen (in Danish).

Helle Bjerre, whose background includes Nordic Tankers and Maersk, has been appointed new CEO, while EAC CEO Niels Henrik Jensen will take over as new Chairman, reports the newspaper.
