Chinese billionaire new major shareholder in Seadrill

Chinese business man and billionaire Tong Jinquan has acquired more shares in drilling giant Seadrill and is now a major shareholder in the company.

Tong Jinquan, a Chinese billionaire and real estate agent, has become a new major shareholder in the drilling company Seadrill, led by chairman John Fredriksen.

On February 6, Jinquan's company Wealthy Fountain Holdings Inc bought 1.3 million shares in Seadrill at USD 13.26 per share, and the company now owns 21.3 million shares after the transaction, corresponding to about 4.33 percent of Seadrill.
