Dan-Bunkering dismisses its head of operations for Asia

Danish media Finans has learned that the break is the result of strategic disagreements related to hiring former executives from bankrupt OW Bunker's Singapore branch.

The unrest in the bunker market following the collapse of OW Bunker has now taken on a new dimension after Dan-Bunkering's Regional Director, Asia - based in Singapore - has stepped down, effective immediately.

Morten Mortensen has left the job less than one year after starting what looked like a meteoric career at one of the world's leading bunker companies. He was hired as Head of Sales at Dan-Bunkering's Singapore division in February 2014, promoted to Managing Director on May 1st, before being bounced up yet another level in August, where he was appointed Regional Director, Asia, with the title of Senior Vice President.
