
A shortage of orders and poor finances have now pushed already struggling Norwegian shipbuilder Bergen Group to declare its own subsidiary Bergen Group Skarveland bankrupt, says the company in a statement.
Bergen Group points to a lack of orders and poor results as key motivating factors behind the decision, thus adding another chapter to the deroute currently ravaging the Norwegian supply industry in extension of the sliding oil price and hard-pressed shipping industry.
