Nicaragua canal construction postponed to late 2016
Work on the canal project in Nicaragua has been postponed to the end of 2016. This comes after the project's Chinese backer has suffered heavy losses on capital markets, write several media.

Work on the waterway between the Atlantic and the Pacific through Nicaragua, set to compete with the Panama Canal, has now been delayed until next year.
