Mining major Fortescue maintains high production

The low iron ore prices dealt a blow to the Australian mining giant in the first half of the fiscal year 2015-2016, where Fortescue did manage to pay off some debt. The company maintains shipping targets for 2016.

The major Australian mining company, Fortescue, continues along with mining colleagues in Brazil and Australia to pump huge amounts of iron ore into an already saturated market, and the consequential low prices for the important commodity impacted the company's earnings and revenue in the first half of the fiscal year 2015-2016.
