Danish Bunker Holding is rapidly catching up with the world's currently largest bunker company, listed US World Fuel Services. The Danish bunker group just finished the fiscal year of 2015/2016, in which it expanded its market share significantly and now seems closer than ever to reaching its goal of conquering the global top spot in the sale of marine fuel to the shipping industry.

Bunker Holding, which is part of the USTC Group (United Shipping & Trading Company) and owned by Torben Østergaard-Nielsen, has a declared target of becoming the world's largest bunker company. A goal which came closer when OW Bunker collapsed in November 2014.
