New Oslo-based shipping bank opens for business

Initiators and new investors made it possible to realize the plans to establish a new specialized bank in shipping and offshore, says CEO Halvor Sveen, Maritime & Merchant Bank.

The new Oslo-based niche bank for shipping and offshore, Maritime & Merchant Bank ASA (M&M), has now opened for customers, informs the bank and CEO Halvor Sveen in a brief press release.

"The sustained tight credit market for the maritime sector has left many companies owners seeking financing with few alternatives. We believe M&M can fill a need for a specialized bank with experience in shipping and offshore that is able to contribute to good solutions for our customers," says Halvor Sveen.
