Danish tonnage tax to include mobile rigs from 2016

The Danish government has announced its state budget for 2016. The Danish tonnage tax scheme will be expanded to include mobile offshore drilling rigs, though the government still needs to find around USD 6.5 million financing.

The Danish state budget for 2016 has been settled, and it comes with good news for owners of mobile drilling rigs, as these vessels look set to be covered by the country's tonnage tax scheme starting at some point in 2016.
