Sea Cargo Charter members lag behind climate targets

New report shows that the dry bulk sector failed to meet IMO’s climate targets for the year. This leaves the industry scrambling to meet long-term targets.

On average, dry cargo carriers were 17% behind the climate targets the industry would have to achieve if the UN’s International Maritime Organization (IMO) were to meet its 2023 climate targets, according to a new report from Sea Cargo Charter, a global initiative developed by the Global Maritime Forum.
