Nordea: Damco and Maersk Tankers potential divestments

Maersk Group's announcement, Monday during the general assembly, regarding more divestments, could be referring to companies such as the logistics company Damco and the product tanker carrier Maersk Tankers, says senior analyst Stig Frederiksen of Nordea. And he is not alone.

Maersk has several companies in the group which could be potential candidates for divestment when the time and the price for these companies are assessed to be optimal for a sale. This especially concerns companies such as the currently loss-giving logistics company Damco and the product tanker carrier Maersk Tankers. The former has, after several years of adaptation, been cut to size following the divestment of, for example gas vessels and last year the large crude oil tankers, VLCCs.

This is the assessment from Nordea's Maersk-analyst Stig Frederiksen.
