Several container shipowners now provide app services

The vast majority of the world's largest container shipowners are now available to customers through apps. An increasingly important platform, writes SeaIntel in an analysis.

Like many others, the customers of container shipowners have now embraced smartphones and the container shipowners are now feeling the effect and developing apps. More and more container shipowners are available online in this way, according to a new study from SeaIntel.

A total of 22 of the 50 largest container shipowners in the world have an app which customers can use. If you zoom in on the 20 largest container shipowners, then 16 of them have apps to cover the needs of customers.
