Navig8 Chemical Tankers optimistic going forward

London-based Navig8 took stock of the first half of the year on Friday. More ships in the water, a positive result and solid prospects going forward characterize the first half year of 2015 for the Oslo-listed carrier.

Newly established carrier Navig8 Chemical Tankers delivered an operating profit (EBITDA) of USD 2.9 million in the second quarter, and revenue came to USD 14 million, according to the carrier's second quarter interim report.

This interim report represents the first published result in which the carrier has operated a full quarter. The company had five vessels in the first quarter, while this number stands at 11 today. Including the orderbook, the carrier's fleet will total 32 vessels when all tonnage is delivered in the third quarter 2017.
