Corona outbreak causes carriers to cancel sailings and postpone scrubber installations

The coronavirus outbreak is now causing Maersk and MSC to cancel sailings, above all in the Pacific, while other shipping companies postpone scrubber installations. One such company is Stena Bulk. "We monitor it day to day," CEO Erik Hånell tells ShippingWatch.

The coronavirus outbreak and extended Chinese New Year has led major container shipping companies such as Maersk and MSC to postpone a number of sailings in the Pacific between Asia and the US and Canada, write the shipping companies in updates to their customers.
