Golden Ocean sees three good years ahead for bulk

Golden Ocean, the major Norwegian dry bulk player in the Fredriksen empire, believes that the bulk market has turned around, and that the next three years look positive. USD 160 million ready to be invested.

MANILA: John Fredriksens dry bulk carrier Golden Ocean is now putting real distance to the crisis, looking ahead at three good years instead, years that will see a solid rise in demand while the supply of tonnage will be kept down.

The shipping company's CEO, Herman Bilung, was part of the major downturn just a few years ago, where the company was about ready to shut down, only saved by a corporate restructuring. But Bilung is more optimistic today.
