
The Stadil family’s shipping company Thorco has grown significantly in 2013 and it is now time for the sizeable fleet to conquer the multipurpose market, a category used to describe anything that is too big to fit in a normal container. The multipurpose market has gloomy outlooks at the moment, but that is about to change, believes the carrier’s Chairman, Thor Stadil.
“I expect our market to improve significantly in the next couple of years. There will still be tonnage that is removed and there is more and more trade created in the world. Our books will show very different and much more positive numbers in a couple of years,” he tells ShippingWatch.
