The US strengthens its position off Iran after disruption of carrier ships

In the past two years, Iran has detained and/or attacked 15 commercial freight ships.

The US military is aiming at strengthening its defensive position in the Persian Gulf in relation to Iran’s detainment on freight ships in the region, writes Reuters, based on a comment from White House spokesperson John Kirby last Friday.
