Changes are underway in the Russian oil and gas sector, according to a document published on the Russian Ministry of Energy's website. A document that portends an even greater focus on the export of oil and gas to Asia. According to Reuters the Russian government wants to change the country's export pattern, to double the volumes of oil and gas exported to Asia ahead of 2035, to 32 percent in total.
A change that is already underway today in the East Siberian part of the Pacific Ocean, which leads oil directly to Asia, while the gas sector is also picking up speed in light of the partial stop to Gazprom's energy monopoly.
