Concerns about Rosneft deal at North Atlantic Drilling

According to Offshore.no, the employees union Safe is concerned that North Atlantic Drilling's deal with Russian Rosneft could result in jobs being out-flagged.

Employees at North Atlantic Drilling feel unsafe following the major and multiple-year contract that the company has signed with Russian Rosneft, reports Norwegian energy media Offshore.no.

Estimates say that the deal could be worth as much as USD 4.4 billion, and the deal made headlines around the world as it was signed a mere two days before the EU's new sanctions came into force on August 1st this year.
