Thoresen Director to head new dry bulk pool

The need for consolidation in the dry bulk sector is one of the motivations behind Thoresen Shipping's new Supramax and Ultramax pool. Danish Henrik Jeremiassen will head the pool.

Henrik Jeremiassen, who has 15 years' experience in dry bulk, will head a new commercial dry bulk pool launched by Thai-based carrier Thoresen Shipping, under the name "Thoresen Grabulk Pool," aimed at owners and operators of Supramax and Ultramax vessels.

"Supramax/Ultramax dry bulk shipping desperately needs the consolidation currently present in the Cape sector and container shipping," says Mike Anderson, Commercial Director, Thoresen Shipping, in a press release.
