Torm is rapidly approaching a full exit from the dry bulk market. On Wednesday the carrier sold its last two Panamax vessels, informs the company in a statement to the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. Vessels Torm Anholt and Torm Bornholm, both from 2004, have been sold to an independent third party and will be delivered to the new owner in October and November.
"The sale is in line with Torm's strategy to exit the bulk activities and focus on scale and operational platform in the product tanker segment," writes Torm, adding that the carrier's additional chartering activities consist of chartered vessels that will be returned to their owners in early October.
