Commissioner closes competition case against container carriers

Several years of investigating global container carriers suspected of fixing prices have now come to an end. The 14 container carriers have obtained approval of their new plan for rate increases.

The competition case against 14 container carriers, which has lasted for years, has now been closed. The EU Commission has approved the container carriers' plan for a new practice for increasing of rates charged to freight containers.
