Gas carrier buys eco ships

LPG carrier Stealthgas has ordered four new eco ships to be delivered in 2016.

Stealthgas has placed an order for four new LPG vessels to be built in Japan for delivery in 2016, the company writes in a statement posted on its webpage.

The new additions are part of the carriers program for newbuildings aimed at buying 19 new LPG ships. Two of those vessels have already been delivered, and the carrier had placed orders for two more, but those orders have now been cancelled. All the ships ordered are eco vessels.
