Hafnia Tankers made USD 77 million in 2015, which became the best year for the product tanker market since 2009. The low oil price, booming trade in oil products and not least 11 new vessels on the water helped boost the carrier, CEO Mikael Skov tells ShippingWatch.

Hafnia Tankers joins the choir of excited tanker carriers in 2015 riding on a wave of positive news compared to the rest of the shipping industry.

Specifically, Hafnia Tankers achieved an operating profit of USD 77.1 million in 2015, a many-fold improvement from USD 11 million in 2014. The bottom line came to USD 59.6 million while the previous year showed a profit of USD 2.3 million.
