Svitzer locks out Australian staff after 1,100 labor actions

Svitzer has issued a lockout notice to Australian employees of the Maersk-owned tugboat company after numerous strike actions have negatively affected Svitzer operations.

Maersk-owned towage service operator Svitzer has dialed up its measures in the long conflict with the company’s Australian workers, who since October 2020 have been behind 1,100 larger or smaller labor actions.
