Australian Svitzer employees go on strike – again

More than 500 Australian employees of Maersk subsidiary Svitzer once again go on strike, protesting the tugboat operator’s termination of their collective work agreement.

Around 540 employees of Maersk-owned Svitzer Australia on Wednesday went on strike again, accusing the tugboat company of underpaying its workers – and paying too little tax in Australia.
