Record influx of container ships this year will not cause trouble until 2025
A record number of new container ships with capacity for 2.8 million twenty-foot containers will enter the market this year, but the many new ships are not expected to lead to overcapacity and become a headache for shipping companies until 2025, according to an analysis of the container market by the shipping organization Bimco.
