Niels Smedegaard: Huge victory for DFDS

CEO Niels Smedegaard describes the preliminary ruling from the British Competition Commission as a huge victory. Now DFDS will work towards having Eurotunnel's ferry operations shut down as quickly as possible.

The British Competition Commission's (BCC) preliminary ruling in the wearisome dispute on the English Channel between DFDS and French Groupe Eurotunnel - and its ferry operator MyFerryLink - indicates that DFDS can soon breathe a sigh of relief. In any case, the ruling stating that it is within the BCC's legal jurisdiction to decide on the matter strongly favors DFDS's position in the case, and DFDS CEO Niels Smedegaard describes the ruling as a huge victory.
