Nationality requirements could force major German carrier to outflag

One of Germany's biggest ship management companies, Reederei NSB, demands more relaxed rules for employment of German and European seafarers on board ships.

German Reederei NSB, which operates 42 ships under German flag - more than any other ship management company in Germany - threatens in a press release on Friday to out-flag its ships unless the conditions for employing German and European seafarers on German-flagged vessels are eased.
