New IMO regulations for gas sailing from 2017

A new set of regulations has now been approved for how shipowners are to sail on LNG and other types of gas fuels.

At a meeting in the IMO Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) last week, the international agency agreed on the so-called IGF code - International Code of Safety for Ships using Gases or other Low-flashpoint Fuels.
