Shipping's green transformation could cost USD 28bn a year ahead of 2050

Investments might reach the combined sum of USD 28bn per year approaching 2050 if the shipping industry is to carry out the planned green energy transition. The amount to be invested in infrastructure will be much higher, shows DNV report.

It will require huge investments to achieve the green transformation the shipping sector is aiming for, and which right now amounts to halving the industry’s CO2 emissions by 2050.
