Finnish Wärtsilä has landed the single biggest order ever for ballast water management systems. The company will supply systems for 22 dry bulk vessels.

Finnish supplier Wärtsilä has won the single biggest order ever for ballast water management systems.

Wärtsilä will deliver two of the company's so-called Aquarius UV BWMS (Ballast Water Management System) each to 22 dry bulk vessels of 38,000 dwt. The order thus totals 44 systems, says Wärtsilä in a press release on Thursday.
