The major cost reductions in the oil and gas industry are over, and according to Wood Mackenzie's 2018 prospects, investments are on the way up again.

Oil and gas companies will start 2018 in the best shape they have been in since the oil price collapse. According to consultancy firm Wood Mackenzie's 2018 Upstream Outlook, the companies must now prove that they can thrive in a low-price environment after the huge adjustments and cost reductions made in recent years.
