Serious incidents in the oil sector spurs growth at petroleum authority

"Obvious challenges" related to safety in the oil sector in 2015 and 2016 have increased the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway's focus on the area. And the Norwegian authority has also grown its number of employees in recent years, Director General Anne Myhrvold tells ShippingWatch.

While several oil companies have scaled down their workforce significantly in recent years, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has noted the exact opposite development.
