Statoil books best quarter in four years

The stable and recently rising oil price has spelled good news for Norwegian giant Statoil, which emerged from the first quarter with strong revenue.

Norwegian oil giant Statoil delivered better than expected when compared with analyst expectations in the first quarter.

Revenue landed at USD 19.9 billion,  above an expected USD 17.8 billion according to estimates gathered by Inquiry Financial.
