Offshore carriers facing tough winter

A tough few months lie ahead for offshore vessels on top of the fact that many do not have contracts, says brokerage firm Lorentzen & Stemoco, according to Norwegian media Sysla.

This winter could prove tough for the already struggling offshore shipping companies.

Rates remain low in the sector, where the global share of vessels in work since November has sat at approximately 60 percent in a market which continues to struggle with an excessive supply of vessels, concludes brokerage firm Lorentzen & Stemoco according to Norwegian media Sysla.
