Higher oil prices lifted Equinor in 2018

Like its peers, the Norwegian oil giant benefited from a higher oil price, which has given a major boost to several companies' results.

Equinor, formerly Statoil, saw growth across the board in 2018.

Revenue grew to USD 79.5 billion against USD 61.1 billion in 2017. The operating result, or adjusted earnings, increased by 42 percent to USD 17.9 billion, while the bottom line, adjusted earnings after tax are up 64 percent to USD 7.5 billion from USD 4.59 billion.
