Equinor CEO sees great anxiety on the oil market

Oil company Equinor's chief executive, Eldar Sætre, eyes an oil market where trade disputes trigger large fluctuations in the oil price. The CEO is looking forward to the outcome of OPEC meeting, reports E24.

The oil market is marked by great anxiety these days, as the US-China trade conflict has contributed to large fluctuations in the oil price in the last month alone, said Equinor Chief Executive Eldar Sætre at a conference held by the Norwegian government this week, according to Norwegian media E24.

"There is great anxiety on the oil market, which is of course marked by concerns regarding prerequisites for trade and economic growth as a consequence of that," said Sætre at the conference, at which he also asserted that the trade conflict and obstacles to free trade are a negative, according to E24.
