Aker BP's profit nearly halved

Oil company Aker BP exits the second quarter with a profit that is nearly half of what the company booked for the same period last year. Production is also down.

Both profit and the production of oil and gas declined for oil company Aker BP in the second quarter.

The oil company, which Kjell Inge Røkke's Aker Group owns the majority of, exits the quarter with a profit that is almost halved compared to the same time last year, shows the company's interim report published Friday morning.

Alphaliner: HMM set to go private in 2022
