Subsea 7 wins big wind contract with Ørsted

Subsea 7 has won a large contract for laying 420 kilometers of copper cables between wind turbines in UK offshore wind farm Hornsea 2 for Ørsted subsidiary Optimus Wind.

Subsea 7 will have to bring out its big cable reels ahead of a new contract with Danish utility Ørsted's UK subsidiary Optimus Wind.

The British offshore company has won an assignment to install 420 kilometers of copper cables that are to connect the wind turbines at offshore wind farm Hornsea 2.
