Prosafe's merger with competitor rejected by Norwegian regulators

The Norwegian regulators have rejected Prosafe's merger with Floatel, noting that it will harm competition for leasing of hotel rigs on the Norwegian shelf. Prosafe has three weeks to appeal the decision.

The merger between the two competitors in the market for leasing hotel rigs to the oil sector, Prosafe and Floatel, has been rejected in Norway.
