John Fredriksen steps down as Seadrill chair after new loss

Seadrill Chair John Fredriksen has decided to step down from the company and will be replaced from today, Thursday. This occurs at the same time as the rig operator presents of new big third quarter deficit.

The controlling owner of Seadrill, John Fredriksen, is resigning as chair of the drilling company, the rig operator informs in a press statement, while also presenting a third quarter interim report showing a triple-digit deficit figure in USD millions and a big bottom line loss.
