Equinor enters big settlement in drawn-out legal dispute

The Norwegian oil company pays USD 188 million to Chinese firm COSL. The two parties have reached an accord on a legal battle lasting years and which began with a tragic event.

Equinor agrees to pay an extralegal settlement, ending a dispute that began when the Norwegian oil giant canceled a contract with China Oilfield Services in connection with rigs COSL Innovator and COSL Promoter.
