Oil companies only invest a little in green energy

Oil companies are talking about going greener, but so far their investments in green energy leave much to be desired, concludes a new report from the International Energy Agency.

Even though many oil companies are looking to make their business greener, they are slow to invest in sustainable energy.

According to the International Energy Agency, IEA, the companies have only spent 1 percent of their combined capital expenditure on green initiatives outside of their core business in oil and gas.
