Former Golden Ocean CEO steps down from Seadrill board

Birgitte Rinstad Vartdal has stepped down from the Seadrill board of directors following her exit from John Fredriksen's dry bulk operator Golden Ocean.

Birgitte Rinstad Vartdal steps down from her work on the board of directors of John Fredriksen's drilling company Seadrill, says the company.

In late November, she stepped down as CEO of dry bulk ship operator Golden Ocean, which is also part of Fredriksen's empire. A month later she got a new job, which she took up on April 1 with Norwegian energy company Statkraft in a position as new executive VP for wind and solar in Europe.
